Vice President Kamala Harris took credit for May’s jobs report on social media Friday; saying the Biden-Harris administration is “making historic progress” for workers while millions of jobs remain unrecovered from the start of the pandemic.
“Today’s jobs report: -559k jobs added in May -A record 2 million jobs created in our 1st 4 months -Lowest unemployment rate since the start of COVID -Fastest drop in long-term unemployment in a decade We’re making historic progress for workers, small businesses, and our economy,” posted Harris on Twitter.
Vast sections of the economy remain closed despite new cases of COVID dropping a staggering 94% since January 2021.
