By The FirstThis week in woke the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, a go-to source for word definitions since 1831, has updated its definition of the word “female” to include descriptions of gender identity.
The Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh shared the news on Twitter.
“It was bound to happen. Merriam-Webster has changed its dictionary definition of ‘female’ to appease the trans activists,” Walsh tweeted along with a screenshot.
The dictionary now offers an additional definition of “female”: “having a gender identity that is the opposite of male.” There’s also a second definition of “male”: “having a gender identity that is the opposite of female.”
