Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky says he’s owned an electric vehicle and lives in a remote area where his family must choose between charging the car or using the AC. That being said, it’s safe to say he knew a little bit more about the perils electric vehicles will cause the power grid and the inconvenience it creates for Americans. Buttigieg seems comfortable to shrug off the fact the grid isn’t currently ready for a dramatic change, because in his eyes, it has to be to fulfill their transition.
