The U.S.’s decision to allow this Chinese balloon to make it all the way through United States air space from Alaska to the east coast of the United States was an absolute embarrassment. The amount of information in real time that the Chinese government was able to gain was much more of a risk than shooting this balloon down when it should have been done.
