Thousands of people are desperately trying to flee the Taliban, and get to the entry points of the Kabul airport. Yet, these are most of the same people that are being told not to go to the airport because it’s too dangerous, but they also have to evacuate Afghanistan by August 31st, but proceed at your own risk. How can we make sense of all of this when our administration keeps changing the narrative? It’s now not the U.S. government’s responsibility to get these stranded Americans to safety?
