By The FirstAuthor and woke activist Robin DiAngelo called for people of color to “get away from white people” during a recent interview, seemingly embracing a return to segregated communities. DiAngelo, who authored such anti-racism self-help books as White Fragility and Nice Racism, made her controversial comments earlier this month during a webinar on “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.”

“I’m a big believer in affinity space and affinity work,” DiAngelo said. “And I think people of color need to get away from white people and have some community with each other.”
DiAngelo is best known for her work on critical race theory and so-called whiteness studies. Her most well-known book, “White Fragility: Why It’s So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism,” was published in 2018 and became a bestseller. In the book, she discusses how white people are defensive when confronted with discussions of racism.
