Senator Tim Scott set the record straight Wednesday night after Joe Biden’s address to the American people; saying the United States is “not a racist country.”
“Today, kids are being taught that the color of their skin defines them again. If they look a certain way, they’re an oppressor. People are making money and gaining power by pretending we haven’t made any progress at all,” said the Senator from South Carolina.
“This stuff is wrong. Hear me clearly: America is not a racist country. It’s backwards to fight discrimination with different types of discrimination. It’s wrong to use our painful past to shut-down debates in the present,” added the Republican.
