White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre faced a fierce backlash on social media Tuesday after she claimed the January 6^th Capital Incursion was the worst attack on Democracy “since the Civil War.”

“What we saw on January 6^th was the worst attack on our Democracy since the Civil War. Our Democracy remains under threat,” said the Press Secretary.
