Newly minted U.S. Senator from Pennsylvania John Fetterman looked somewhat befuddled during his swearing in ceremony on Tuesday.
Watch the video below:
Senator Fetterman appears to be still suffering the effects of an ischemic stroke that struck him in May of 2022, just two days before the Keystone State held its Democratic primary election.
According to the Mayo clinic, symptoms of an ischemic stroke include confusion, the slurring of words, and difficulty understanding speech, all of which Fetterman exhibited during the 2022 Pennsylvania Senate campaign.
Fetterman’s swearing in ceremony is his first public appearance since defeating Republican Dr. Memet Oz in the November race.
