Four people were killed and at least eight others injured on Monday morning, after a gunman opened fire at the Old National Bank in downtown Louisville, Kentucky, according to police. The shooting took place at around 8:30 am close to the famous Louisville Slugger Field.
President Biden immediately blamed the incident on Congressional Republicans.
“Once again, our nation mourns after a senseless act of gun violence – Jill and I pray for the lives lost and impacted by today’s shooting. Too many Americans are paying for the price of inaction with their lives. When will Republicans in Congress act to protect our communities?” posted Biden on Twitter.
