By The FirstThings got heated during a hearing of the House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government on Thursday when Democratic Virgin Islands Del. Stacey Plaskett threw several documents at Louisiana Rep. Mike Johnson.

During the hearing, Rep. Johnson asked for “unanimous consent” to enter a 2021 letter into the record from Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry in which he “decries all political violence.”
“Another thing we can’t examine because he’s not here,” Del. Plaskett complained, noting that Landry was not present at the hearing.
Johnson walked over to Plaskett, and handed her the letter. “You can examine it, it’s a document,” he said before returning to his seat. Plaskett immediately walked over to where Johnson was seated and threw the documents in his face.
