President Biden’s battle with COVID-19 entered it’s third week Friday, with the Commander-in-Chief still testing positive after being first diagnosed with the virus on July 21st, 15 days ago.
His personal physician confirmed his latest positive-test Friday afternoon.
The President continues to feel very well. His cough has almost completely resolved. His temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate and oxygen saturation remain entirely normal. His lungs remain clear. Given his rebound positivity which we reported Saturday, we have continued daily monitoring. This morning, his SARS-CoV-2 antigen testing remained positive.
The President will continue his strict isolation measures as previously described.
He will continue to conduct the business of the American people from the Executive Residence. As I have stated previously, the President continues to be very specifically conscientious to protect any of the Executive Residence, White House, Secret Service and other staff whose duties require any (albeit socially distanced) proximity to him.
As promised, I will keep your office updated with any changes in his condition or treatment plan.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
