According to sources at The Washington Post, the raid on Mar-a-Lago may have been in an effort to recover sensitive nuclear weapon documents. Trump refuted the claim on TRUTH Social.
“Nuclear weapons issue is a Hoax, just like Russia, Russia, Russia was a Hoax, two Impeachments were a Hoax, the Mueller investigation was a Hoax, and much more,” Trump posted on Truth Social Friday morning. “Same sleazy people involved. Why wouldn’t the FBI allow the inspection of areas at Mar-a-Lago with our lawyer’s [sic], or others, present. Made them wait outside in the heat, wouldn’t let them get even close – said “ABSOLUTELY NOT.” Planting information anyone? Reminds me of a Christofer [sic] Steele Dossier!”
Conservative podcaster and former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury Monica Crowley echoed Trump, saying this claim doesn’t make much sense when you start to poke at it.
“So now they’re saying Trump may have had our nation’s most sensitive nuclear secrets – but they waited a year and half to go get them? What’s next – that he’s hiding nuclear missiles under his bed?”
