Senator Elizabeth Warren ripped “Super Bowl Ads” this week, vowing to fight “glitzy marketing” by corporations that exploit tax loopholes.
“Every time you see a giant tax prep corporation’s Super Bowl ad, remember this: they can afford to shell out millions for glitzy marketing because they’ve reaped huge profits by lobbying Washington to make tax time as much of an expensive hassle as possible,” posted Warren on Twitter.
“I’ve spent years fighting for a free, simple federal tax filing system. And with the funding that Democrats passed through Congress last year, we’re closer than ever to making it happen. I’m staying in the fight until we get this done,” she added.
