“This deal is dangerous for our democracy. Billionaires like Elon Musk play by a different set of rules than everyone else, accumulating power for their own gain. We need a wealth tax and strong rules to hold Big Tech accountable.”
Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) shared her thoughts on Twitter, hitting Liz Warren right in the ancestry:
“Elizabeth Warren said that @ElonMusk buying Twitter is dangerous to our democracy. I think claiming you’re a Native American solely for your own professional and political gain is dangerous to our democracy, Senator Karen.”
Warren was also reminded by flocks of folks on Twitter that Elon Musk had the biggest tax bill in U.S. history last year; he paid more than $11 billion dollars.
