Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot rejected the revised CDC guidelines surrounding face-masks Monday; telling MSNBC all residents in the Windy City -including vaccinated people- should cover their faces when outside.
“They’ve got a lot of clarification that they need to do. I’m going to continue to wear a mask in public, and I’m going to encourage others to do so,” said Lightfoot.
“Masks are a big part of that. To say you don’t have to wear a mask is great, but what about people that aren’t vaccinated? Most people are going to continue to wear masks outside their homes, and I think that’s smart!” she added.
