President Biden, who once bragged about his work with segregationists, is in hot water today following racially insensitive comments he made on Wednesday. During an event at a Union Hall in Lanham, Maryland, President Biden referred to the state’s newly Governor Wes Moore — who is Black — as “boy.”
Check out the video below:
“You got a hell of a new governor in Wes Moore, I tell ya,” Biden said during remarks on the economy. “He’s the real deal, and the boy looked like he could still play. He got some guns on him.”
This isn’t the first time President Biden has used the racially charged term. During the 2019 presidential campaign, New Jersey Senator Cory Booker chided Biden for his casual use of word when referring to black men.
“You don’t joke about calling black men ‘boys,'” Booker said at the time. Booker later told CNN: “Vice President Biden shouldn’t need this lesson.”
