By The FirstSenior Biden advisor Anthony Fauci spoke with CNN about the current state of America’s fight against COVID-19 Wednesday morning; telling the audience the country is at least “half-way through” the global pandemic.
“You and I are Major League Baseball fans. What inning are we in as far as this pandemic is concerned?” asked CNN’s Wolf Blitzer.
“We’re at least half-way through,” said Fauci. “We’ve really got to not declare victory prematurely. We’re in the late innings, but it’s not over. Now is not a time to declare victory. It’s a time to get more and more people vaccinated.”
“It’s the bottom of the sixth,” he concluded.
