Incredible footage was recorded in New York City’s Times Square over the weekend showing a heroic police officer rushing a 4-year-old to receive medical attention after she was shot in the thigh while shopping with her parents.

“On Mother’s Day weekend, Officer Alyssa Vogel—a mom herself—jumped into action to save the life of a 4-year old girl who was shot in Times Square. It’s these types of heroic actions that define the law enforcement profession. God bless her,” posted House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy.
