MSNBC is switching things up.
According to a report from The Hill, Chuck Todd and Meet The Press will make the jump to a streaming-only program with a new show, MSNBC Reports set to fill the space.
“NBC News is the leader in streaming news,” NBC News President Noah Oppenheim said in a statement. “Since our launch, we’ve been committed to delivering the best of NBC News’ journalism, free, to streaming audiences everywhere. Chuck was one of the first broadcast anchors to see the massive potential of streaming and bringing Meet the Press’s daily franchise to NBC News NOW reinforces the platform’s status as the destination for news on streaming.”
Todd’s new show, Meet The Press NOW, will stream but also be available as a podcast as well.
“The network also announced that MSNBC Senior National Correspondent Chris Jansing will start anchoring ‘MSNBC Reports’ at 1 p.m. beginning May 26, filling the timeslot now occupied by Todd’s ‘Meet the Press Daily,’” The Hill Reports.
