Lockdown Forever? Fauci Says ‘It’s Still Not Ok’ for the Vaccinated to Eat Indoors at Restaurants
Senior White House COVID advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci dampened Americans’ expectations for a return to normalcy on MSNBC this week when he said “it’s still not okay” for vaccinated people to dine indoors at restaurants.
“Eating and drinking indoors in restaurants and bars, is that okay now?” asked MSNBC’s Mehdi Hasan.
“No, it’s still not okay. The level of infection in the community is still disturbingly high. Yesterday there were close to 80,000 new infections. If you’re not vaccinated, please get one as soon as its available to you,” said Fauci.
“If you are vaccinated, please remember that you still have to be careful and not get involved in crowded situations, particularly indoors where people are not wearing masks,” he added.
