Rep. Lauren Boebert trolled Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez this week when she wore a “Let’s Go Brandon” dress as a wink to AOC’s infamous “Tax the Rich” gown she donned to an ultra-elite New York City fashion gala.
“It’s not a phrase, it’s a movement!” posted the Congresswoman flanked by the 45th President of the United States.
Eagle-eyed critics on social media were quick to compare the ‘Tax the Rich’ gown worn by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez at the ultra-elite Met Gala in New York City with packaging from popular fast-food chain Chick-Fil-A.
AOC tweeted a preview of her dress saying, “Proud to work with @aurorajames as a sustainably focused, Black woman immigrant designer who went from starting her dream @brothervellies at a flea market in Brooklyn to winning the @cfda against all odds- and then work together to kick open the doors at the Met. The Time is now for childcare, healthcare, and climate action for all. Tax the Rich.”
