The White House will impose new travel restrictions to slow the spread of COVID-19 variants from India and other nations despite Joe Biden labeling Donald Trump’s actions “xenophobic” and “racist.”

“The White House will restrict travel from India starting at midnight on Tuesday, May 4, White House press secretary Jen Psaki announced on Friday,” reports Axios.

“On the advice of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the administration will restrict travel from India starting immediately,” Psaki said.
