By The FirstCongressman Andy Biggs of Arizona demanded Joe Biden strip John Kerry of his national security clearance Wednesday over allegations the former Obama aide tipped Iranian officials about Israeli operations in Syria.
“If Mr. Kerry provided sensitive information to Iran about Israel’s activities in Syria, he undermined a friend and bolstered an enemy. At best, such behavior would be despicable; at worst, it would verge on treason,” wrote Biggs.
“And the American people should be astonished as well… Iran is the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism,” he added.
Other members of the Republican Party urged ‘Climate Czar’ John Kerry to resign after leaked audio reportedly showed the former Obama aide revealing Israeli military secrets to leaders in Iran while serving as Secretary of State.
“Kerry is denying the report,” said Buck Sexton. “Not sure if I’m going to take John Kerry’s word for it.”
“Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, in a leaked audiotape, claimed that while Kerry served as America’s top diplomat during the Obama administration, he discussed more than 200 operations that Israel had carried out in Syria against Iranian targets. He said that he was astonished at the revelations,” reports Fox News.
“This is something that deserves a Senate investigation. If it indeed is proven to be accurate, then John Kerry should seriously consider resignation,” said Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee.
“This is something that is serious. This is someone who has served our nation at very high levels, that had information, whether as a senator or as secretary of state and knew what was happening on the diplomatic and military front, to give that information to someone who is an adversary is something of tremendous concern to me,” she added.
