A California school district has announced that teachers will no longer be allowed to assign certain classic novels to students’ reading assignments including To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee and Adventures of Huckleberry Fin by Mark Twain.
“There’s a reason why they’re classic books… I don’t understand the sanitization of American history. I find that absolutely terrifying.”
