HILARIOUS: Rand Paul Recites His Version of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas

Kentucky Senator Rand Paul released a video in which he recites a hilarious version of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas. Paul’s take on the classic Christmas tale is a send-up of the $1.7 trillion federal spending bill that’s currently making its way through the U.S. Senate.

“The earmarks were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that St. Nicholas would soon be there,” Senator Paul reads. “The Senators were nestled all snug in their beds while visions of pork danced in their heads.”

McConnell: I’m ‘Proud’ Republicans Spent $1.7 Trillion With Democrats

House Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is doing a victory lap after the Senate advanced a $1.7 trillion year-long federal government funding bill on Tuesday.

The bill runs more than 4,000 pages and includes $772.5 billion for non-defense discretionary programs and $858 billion in defense funding.

“Admittedly I’m pretty proud of the fact that with a Democratic president, Democratic House, and Democratic Senate, we were able to achieve through this Omnibus spending bill essentially all of our priorities,” McConnell told the press on Tuesday.

Marine Corps May Adopt Gender Neutral Terms for Drill Instructors

The Marine Corps is going woke!

The United States Marine Corps may be dropping terms like “sir” or “ma’am” in favor of more gender neutral language for drill instructors, according to a report in the Marine Corps Times.

The Marine Corps Times reports:

A new academic report on efforts to integrate Marine Corps boot camp recommends dropping gender-specific salutations for drill instructors, but service leaders are not convinced they want to take that step.

The lengthy report, commissioned by the Corps from the University of Pittsburgh in 2020 and completed in 2022, points out that half of the military services already have done away with gendered identifiers for training staff.

“The Army, Navy, and Coast Guard effectively de-emphasize gender in an integrated environment,” the report states. “Instead of saying ‘ma’am’ or ‘sir,’ recruits in these Services refer to their drill instructors using their ranks or roles followed by their last names. Gendered identifiers prime recruits to think about or visually search for a drill instructor’s gender first, before their rank or role.”

White House: People Are Not Just ‘Walking Across the Border.’ MSNBC: Yes, They Are.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is still wearing rose colored glasses when it comes to America’s southern border.

When pushed on the ongoing crisis at the border during Wednesday’s White House Press Briefing, Jean-Pierre told reporters, “It’s not just that people are walking across the border.”

Of course, Jean-Pierre’s claim is nonsense–that’s exactly what people are doing, and MSNBC has the video to prove it.

REPORT: Crime Surges in Small Cities – Felonies Spike in Anchorage, Nashville, Albuquerque

New data released by Fox News Wednesday shows a spike in violent crime taking place in America’s mid-sized cities, including Anchorage, Alaska; Nashville, Tennessee; and Albuquerque, New Mexico.

From Fox News:

Crime has risen in major cities nationwide in recent years as many police departmentsfight staffing shortages, and critics blame some liberal district attorneys for loosening criminal punishments.

But while the violent crime rates of major cities such as New York, Philadelphia, Chicago and Los Angeles repeatedly make headlines, such crime has also increased in some mid-sized cities that do not feature so prominently in national news.

Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city with a population of nearly 300,000 people, spends much of its winter days engulfed in darkness. The city is also steeped in crime problems, continuously ranking among the top 10 most violent cities in the U.S.

Despite a downward trend from 2019 to 2021 in emergency calls reporting assaults, that number climbed again from 2,404 during the first three quarters of 2021 to 2,574 during the same period in 2022, according to statistics from the Anchorage Police Department.

Calls reporting sexual assault dipped from 460 to 442, and while the 352 robbery calls surpassed the 311 during the first three quarters of 2021, they did not meet the 423 recorded both in 2020 and 2019.
