A recent survey from Yahoo News found a whopping 34% of former sports fans are tuning out the major leagues because of non-stop “social justice messaging” before, during, and after the game.
“Television ratings for all major college and pro sports have been down over the last year, a trend industry experts attribute to altered game times and dates due to the coronavirus pandemic and a focus on a presidential election, Yahoo reported,” writes the Hill.
“The NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL have all pledged to do more to help anti-racism initiatives and work in local communities to fight systemic racism,” adds the website.
