By The FirstPresident Joe Biden is kicking off 2023 with an ominous warning to gun owners, claiming “there’s simply no rational basis” for Americans to own 9mm handguns. Biden made the statement while explaining the effect of a .22 caliber versus that of a 9mm.

“A .22 caliber bullet will lodge in the lung and we can probably get it out,” Biden told reporters. “A 9mm bullet blows the lung out of the body.”
Biden added that, “There’s simply no rational basis for it in terms of…self protection or hunting.”
“Remember, the constitution, the second Amendment was never absolute,” Biden added.
Since taking office, President Biden has expressed support for a number of gun control measures, including universal background checks, a ban on assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, and so-called “red flag” laws that allow law enforcement to temporarily seize firearms from individuals.
