By The FirstFormer CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield told members of the House that certain features of the Covid-19 virus appear to be “engineered.” The former CDC chief made his comments while giving testimony before the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic.

In particular, Dr. Redfield expressed his concern about several features of the virus, including the “furin cleavage site” which is found in the spike protein of Covid-19.
“It was very concerning to me,” Redfield told congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene. “It looked like this virus was engineered.”
