Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas continued to deflect blame regarding the escalating crisis taking place at the US-Mexico border Wednesday, telling a Congressman that the situation is “no less secure than it was previously.”
“Is the border more secure under your leadership than when you started?” asked one concerned citizen.
“The border is secure. We’re executing our plan. And I’ve been very clear and unequivocal in that record,” claimed the DHS Chief.
“Is the border more secure now?” pressed the Congressman.
“It is no less secure than it was previously,” fired-back Mayorkas.
