It was inevitable that President Joe Biden would be unceremoniously dumped by his party. He only worked his whole adult life–more than 50 years–for the Democrats. What do you expect them to do with their elder statesman?
When it benefitted them, Democrats in Congress, industry, state and local parties covered for Biden’s age and infirmity. They allowed their president to be cloistered, isolated, and pandered to. They reflexively attacked anyone who brought up the age issue. And then, when it didn’t benefit them, they dumped Biden with the gusto of a mob family fighting over the aging Padrone’s empire.
If you think that’s an extreme metaphor, it’s not. The Democrats are behaving like organized criminals and evil children to a hated scion they can’t wait to bury so they can have his riches. They couldn’t wait to turn him into a walking corpse, the lamest of lame ducks who needs to do nothing and be invisible when the world might fall into nuclear holocaust or Chinese aggression.
And at the end, when Biden has been used up, instead of working with him over the past four years, the Democrats let him twist in the wind, while they reaped whatever rewards came down from his work. They let Biden isolate. They failed to hold him accountable when he didn’t have cabinet meetings. They failed to come alongside him when he wasn’t having press conferences. They failed to plan for succession and give Biden the good statesman treatment. They committed elder abuse, and family abuse and corrupt, black-hearted ambition upon him.
During the primaries, only one Democrat–Rep. Dean Phillips–spoke out with the truth that Biden is unfit to serve. By the Ides of March, Biden had clinched the rigged Democrat primaries, larded with super delegates and fake electors, complete with a write-in campaign in New Hampshire because the DNC tried to force the state to violate its own laws and move its primary.
The Democrats couldn’t be satisfied with what the Roman Senate did to Julius Caesar. So they encouraged Biden, who, as the sufferer of mental decline, didn’t know he had it, to debate Donald Trump. They figured either he’d have a good night by some miracle, or what happened, would happen. And when it did, they plunged the knives in deep.
To hell with elections and primaries and what the voters voted for. Democrats wanted to cheat and look at their opponents cards before they made their bet. They let the felony cases against Trump ferment, yielding 34 counts guilty, which is really one count of bad accounting records, that wouldn’t even be a single felony except they set it up six years ago. Congratulations on the lawfare, New York, the Rotten Apple.
Democrats thought they’d bury Trump and let Biden, huffed up as a zombie, and led by the wrist, run an invisible campaign, win, and govern like Pinocchio before the Blue Fairy animated him–a puppet on strings, for another four years, while the consultants and White House vultures and buzzards feasted on his “accomplishments.” When that didn’t work and they found themselves (they didn’t care about Biden losing, or Trump winning, they cared about losing their own elections when it became known how they lied) behind, they dumped Biden but demanded he stay on as scapegoat in chief.
In the meantime, they got to see how popular Trump got, and frame him as the murderer of democracy. Do you know what the Democrats care about democracy? They don’t. They want to win. They saw what was in the cards and changed their bet. They threw out every primary and decided to pick a new candidate. Biden was required to endorse his vice president. I mean he chose her for being a black woman, so how could he not? But the rest of the Democrats, led by–you guessed it–Barack Hussein Obama, held their support for the first black woman to potentially lead a presidential ticket in a general election.
Harris, as part of the Biden camp, has no love for Obama, and it’s apparently mutual. After eight years of being locked out of the White House, Obama wants his mojo back. Watch for him to throw his support behind someone who will invite him in to “help” govern. The Democrats don’t care a whit for who got the most votes in fair elections. And in November, they won’t care a whit about who wins fair and square–as long as Trump doesn’t get into the White House.
I don’t believe the assassination attempt on Donald Trump was the result of Joe Biden saying “in the bullseye” (Biden misremembered it as “crosshairs” but what’s the difference?). I don’t actually believe it was political at all. It was a nutcase, which is hard enough to protect against. But the Biden administration didn’t care enough about Trump’s life to give him the Secret Service’s best, or even second string. The people who covered him on stage–they’re wonderful (if not entirely fit). The DHS fill-ins and substitutes who were sent to deal with security planning, which by any measure of how a potential head of state should be treated was woefully inadequate, those are the ones that exposed the rot.
Come November, what will Democrats do if Trump beats Harris, or Gov. Shapiro, or whoever they decide by whatever undemocratic chicanery they invent as they go along? They’ll tell electors to violate their bound duty. They’ll invent conspiracies about Trump thugs threatening voters. They’ll come up with reasons why recounts are wrong. They’ll try to overturn the election. All the while, complaining that Trump did those things in 2020. They’ll bury democracy without a decent funeral, and cry not a tear over it.
The precedent has been set. Primaries are only for show. They don’t mean anything. Candidates who are not deemed anointed by the bosses in the Democratic Party will be discarded and forced to quit the race, even after they win. We can next expect Republicans to do the same thing when they’ve got a candidate who isn’t popular enough to win. Nobody can do that to Trump, because he wins primary elections against real candidates. But this is Trump’s last election (do you expect him to run forever?). Whoever comes next, watch out. The new way of deciding elections is to just throw them out.
Thank you, Democrats, for committing elder abuse, and adding murder of democracy to the list of crimes.
