On Monday, the Fulton County, Georgia court’s website showcased a document that indicated a list of criminal charges against former U.S. President Donald Trump. These charges seemed to be associated with alleged efforts to overturn his 2020 election defeat in Georgia.
However, the document was mysteriously removed from the website soon after its appearance, raising eyebrows and prompting swift media attention. International news agency, Reuters, was the first to report on the document.
Despite the charges being abruptly removed from the website, the documents were preserved on X:
Addressing the media flurry and public speculation, the Fulton County District Attorney’s office released a statement clarifying that no charges had been officially filed against Trump. “The Reuters report that those charges were filed is inaccurate. Beyond that, we cannot comment,” expressed a spokesperson from the District Attorney’s office.
If former President Trump were to be indicted in Georgia, it would represent his fourth indictment in less than five months.
