By The FirstDespite claims that the U.S. Government played no role in Twitter’s censorship of the New York Post’s Hunter Biden Laptop story, sworn testimony by Twitter’s former head of site integrity shows that the Federal Bureau of Investigations “warned” the social media company that hacked materials involving Joe Biden’s son were likely to appear in October of 2020.

The FBI warned Twitter during ‘weekly’ meetings before the 2020 election to expect ‘hack-and-leak operations’’ by ‘state actors’ involving Hunter Biden, and ‘likely’ in October, according to a sworn declaration by Twitter’s former head of site integrity, Yoel Roth.
The warnings were so specific that Twitter immediately censored The Post’s scoop about Hunter Biden’s laptop on Oct. 14, 2020, citing its “hacked materials” policy, a move described on Saturday as “election interference” by Twitter’s new owner, Elon Musk.
The revelation that Twitter had been warned about the material echoes claims from Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, who told Joe Rogan in August of this year that his company was also advised ahead of time that the story was coming, which prompted the social media platform to censor the New York Post’s reporting.
At the time the FBI issued their warnings to Facebook and Twitter, the law enforcement agency was already in possession of the laptop, which it received from a the owner of a computer repair shop 2019, and likely knew the contents were authentic.
