Former Marine Daniel Penny has been indicted by a Grand Jury in Manhattan for the chokehold death of Jordan Neely.
From the NY POST:
A grand jury sitting in Manhattan reached its decision Wednesday, weeks after Neely’s death sparked a national firestorm over Penny’s actions and scrutiny over a mental health system that failed the tragic victim.
Penny, 24, was initially arrested on second-degree manslaughter charges. However, it’s unclear what charges he was indicted on.
His exact charges will be unsealed at his arraignment.
