Vice President Harris continues to sidestep questions on why she hasn’t visited the southern border during her first 6 months in office; this, even after President Biden tasked her with handling one of the “root causes” of the U.S. migration crisis.
During an interview with NBC News’ Lester Holt, Harris got a little cagey when pressed on the border:
“I – at some point – you know – we are going to the border. We’ve been to the border,” Harris replied. “So this whole – this whole – this whole thing about the border. We’ve been to the border. We’ve been to the border.”
She has not been to the border.
