By The FirstPresident Biden set his sights on the Second Amendment Thursday by unveiling a series of new Executive Actions aimed at limiting firearms and promoting “Red Flag Laws” in every state in the US.
“During my campaign for President, I wanted to make it easy for states to adopt ‘Red Flag Laws.’ These laws allow police or family members to petition a court in their jurisdiction and say, ‘I want to temporarily remove any firearms this person may possess because they’re a danger,’” said the President.
“The court makes a ruling,” he added. “More than half of all suicides involve the use of a firearm. When a gun’s not available, an attempt at suicide drops precipitously.”
