According to the Hollywood Reporter, in-person attendees of this year’s 94th Academy Awards ceremony won’t be required to have their COVID-19 vaccination.
“The Hollywood Reporter has learned, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is planning not to mandate proof of vaccination (with or without a booster) in order to attend this year’s ceremony. Instead, it intends to require a negative PCR test or a negative rapid antigen test on the day of the event.”
Members of the Hollywood elite have been first to callout and ostracize anyone who even questions the vaccine (see Evangeline Lilly). But now, they seem to be fine with gathering in close quarters and not caring about vaccination status at all.
Ted Cruz (R-TX) blasted the move on Twitter:
“And the Oscar for Hypocrisy goes to…”
