NEW PROGRAM ANNOUNCEMENT: The Rebound with Matt Doherty Premieres Saturday at 12PM!

‘The Rebound with Matt Doherty’ is a unique program taking viewers on a journey from failure to success. 

Each week Matt interviews a famous person about their story. They provide the details of their ‘rebound’, how they overcame an obstacle that was preventing them from achieving the success they appreciate today.

This is an emotional story about redemption and adapting to learn and grow. 

About The Host

Matt Doherty was a starter on the 1982 National Championship UNC Tar Heel basketball team with Michael Jordan, James Worthy and Sam Perkins. Matt went into coaching following college and returned as Head Coach at UNC receiving the AP National Coach of the year award, two years later he was forced to resign.

This week Matt talks with famous all-pro lineman Harris Barton from the San Francisco 49ers. Harris is a 3x Super Bowl champion. He graduated UNC with a BA in Finance and became a fund manager after a distinguished career in San Francisco with the 49ers. Harris experienced some extraordinary setbacks with the collapse of the stack market in 2009 which required him to make many changes to overcome some peril for him and his family. Along the way, Harris lost both his parents to brain cancer and launched a 501(c) called Champion Charities with former teammate Ronnie Lott.

Pedro Israel Orta is a Miami-born son of Cuban immigrants who fled the tyranny of Fidel Castro’s communism. Pedro is a CIA and Intelligence whistle blower, an ordained minister and an award-winning photographer. After receiving Summa Cum Laude from Florida International, Pedro received his Masters from George Washington University and then spent several years in conflict zones like Afghanistan, Yemen and Iran where he received eight Exceptional Performance Awards for his contribution to the country. In 2015 Pedro was appointed to the office of the Inspector General for two years. Pedro has written several books and continues to practice his ministry in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
